In March 2009 I began a series of evenings I refered to as workshops, although not strictly, where I supplied natural mud clay to participants. The idea was to have fun and a with it a sense of self, freedom and exploration.

Having been kindly offered a venue from a dear friend, it was possible to do this.

I set out tables and chairs to accomodate workshop attendees.

The rooms lighting was dimmed, and natural candle light was placed around the room to create a calming and relaxing atmosphere. Background music and a film projection of moving images added extra dimensions to what was fedback as a sense of detachment.

Those that came seated themselves and I suggested a few moments to themselves to relax before attempting to use the clay.

Many were concerned about being artistic, and hadnt scupted before, but that was neither the intention, and the evening was non speific and I called it 'Imagine' for that very reason, because it was really up to you.

What followed was a wonderful experience that mixed therapy, a lot of fun, some more serioous about and concentrated and above all a time without process, procedure, rules or judgment.

So, following the success and positive feedback from the session I hope to run a series of similar evenings.

Currently I am thinking of new ways of engaging us and hope to share this with everyone soon.

I will be posting pictures from the previous workshop here very shortly.

+ Details of upcoming workshops will also follow.
