My initial reaction after having watched the documentary film ‘Earthlings’ was, we need to take action, but firstly, we ourselves need to undergo some major changes!!
That’s not to say that many of us are not taking some form of action.
An initiation of change is in motion.
It appears that alternative means of existence cast our feelings toward appreciations of nature, its environment and conservation. Herbal remedies have regained their popularity, including natural cosmetics, and so in a similar light alternative documentary filmmaking has also brought to surface connections to the wider world, and it’s many depths we may never have known through our own lack of research.
Yet. There is far much more we do not know, or it is the case. That we lack an awareness as to where it may be found.
Alternative methods of media, which myself often refers to as positive media, brings to light what conventional media fails to do!! That is unveil realities of our world.
Much of what we know is camouflaged by the prominence of imagery promoting to attain commercial gain and recognition.
Class and cultural divisions, flags that govern lands across this world, tax on people, the problems of having a thing called economics, manufacturing of weapons, chemicals such as drugs, alcohol and a thing called the abattoir amongst others are contributing to the destruction of our human cycle, mind and race. Imagine what each of these have done, how they have contributed to our thinking, and most of all the lives they have taken.
We need to loose words like 'minority' and 'class' )
We cannot live in harmony as long as the world is divided and the people labelled into categories.
We are quite advanced in our technology and the sciences, that is evident throughout the world, however it appears that we are less evolved.
Here, I draw upon simplification and the fundamental and basic laws of compassion, love and understanding. Not the kind you find described to us with conditions and expectation where we might make comparisons, mainly to those we occasionally idol, spend time reading about and then discuss as if speaking of someone close.
Our growing awareness of global warming consequentially results in our actions to recycle daily, to stop the planet from dying so we are told, and so we act accordingly, mainly by instruction. Such reactions for some have become life goals having realized the potential consequences and devastation we may suffer.
We create charities and campaigns and hand out leaflets that gain our attention to the innumerable suffering globally.
There is news of famine, of poverty of natures decline, and then they offer a solution. Mostly through financial contribution towards gaining appropriate aid.
Although is seems ridiculous that aid is required to be purchased. Are our so called governments even prepared to harvest without a business in mind, especially when it comes to saving their fellow humans.
Think we need to change a lot of things before peace on earth can be realized. To begin we can try and widen the scope of our considerations. Lets engage in advanced stages of awareness we are more than capable of, lets protect, love and nurture the world we call our earth, lets conserve the bigger picture of life, lets stop the depletion of that life, Lets recycle our thoughts as well as our rubbish, let us consider feelings, let us be more compassionate towards others, lets rethink out methods of survival, lets be more intuitive, lets make it our priority to prevent cruelty, to prevent the torture and mass consumption of the millions of lives we allow to be taken daily. Lets make this world peaceful as much as we yearn, lets stop the brutality of war that effects all of us, lets try, try to prevent the destruction of life!!
We are quite exceptional creatures, with a brain capacity we have not yet fully utilized, a heart we are becoming to know, such instruments also created in the life of animals, we have unequalled, they too are also known as Earthling’s.
